NJSTA Atkins Award Recipients


The NJSTA Atkins Award was named for Pauline McDowell Atkins who became the first woman president of NJSTA in 1924 and who was leader in the development of science education in NJ. The Award, established in 1948, recognizes "outstanding cooperation with and service to the science teachers of the state of NJ". Over the years that the award has been presented, representatives of many major New Jersey companies have received the award.
