Check out our latest NJSTA Rockstar Science Teacher program for 2025-26!
Unpacking phenomena is a perfect interdisciplinary entry point into conversations about the myriad of ways PBL shows up in curricula. The typical understanding that PBL represents project or problem based learning is enhanced even more when the additional dimensions of place and pursuits are factored into the resource pool for PBL content. The #TrentonMakes session shares resources used with K-12 teachers as they developed sensemaking projects across grades and content areas. Attendees will compare historical photos and newspaper articles, government reports (census and environmental data) and modern information as they leave the session prepared to design for their own teaching context.
The sessions are FREE for members, but $15 for non-members.
If you are not already, please consider becoming a NJSTA member for access to presentation recordings, access to the NJSTA Science Table (PLC), and other NJSTA opportunities!
We hope to see you there!
