Please join us on February 11, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. EST for a free webinar to learn about the Lemelson-MIT 2020 InvenTeam grant program for high school teachers and teams of students aiming to develop a solution to a problem the students identify in their local communities. We will walk you through the application process and you will also hear from a prior winner who will share tips for helping students come up with a good problem to solve.
 
Teachers who responded to our recent alumni survey tell us that the InvenTeam grant:

• Was a life changing experience (83%)
• Changed the way they teach (91%)
• Connected teachers to a network they professionally gained from (90%)
• Helped them to acquire additional funding (86%)

All former InvenTeam students in our survey agreed that they developed leadership, teamwork and communication skills (100%), developed perseverance (98%), and improved their self-confidence (99%).  Students say they envisioned different paths to college and careers (91%) and 71% said they developed interests in STEM even though they were not previously interested in this subject area.
