Aviation Design Challenge for High School Students

12 Oct 2019 9:58 AM | NJSTA (Administrator)

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s (GAMA) supports an annual competition to promote STEM skills in U.S. high school students through an aviation curriculum and a virtual fly-off. Registration  is now open for the 2020 Aviation Design Challenge. Slots are available for the first 150 high school teachers that enter.

The competition is free – we provide a curriculum developed in alignment with national STEM standards along with the world’s top software for personal computers through a partnership with Fly to Learn and X-Plane. The winning team receives an all-expenses-paid trip to experience general aviation manufacturing firsthand, and the team placing second receives a prize of an in-school, two-day STEM Lab Camp hosted by Redbird Flight Simulations.
