Have you seen the news about the research of our QUEST Facilitator, Professor Jonathan Conway? https://cbe.princeton.edu/news/proteins-could-turn-corn-stalks-fuel The microbes he works with have the potential to turn hundreds of millions of metric tons of crop waste every year into sustainable fuels or chemicals instead!
If you or your elementary educators are interested in enhancing their understanding of life science topics from innovative Princeton University professors and graduate students, you can join us for an incredible, *NEW* elementary focused week on Princeton University’s campus with Professor Jonathan Conway to deepen understanding of life science by moving from observation to inference. Beginning with a “big scale” understanding of ecosystems, educators will then explore how the microscopic world mirrors our observations on the “small scale”. Educators will also learn how microbes can support sustainable solutions to climate change! After a week of learning connected to relevant core ideas and practices from the NGSS, educators will leave feeling inspired, motivated, and prepared to teach life science topics to our future scientists and engineers!
