Students 2 Science, a New Jersey nonprofit that inspires, motivates, and educates students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) is seeking current/retired STEM educators, students pursuing a STEM or education degree, or anyone with a passion for science! 

ISAAC Program

• Available September through June, Monday through Friday* from 8:30am-2:00pm, at our Newark or Whippany locations. Volunteers will work side-by-side with 3^rd-12^th grade students in our state-of-the-art labs as they solve real-world problems that scientists face daily! We have three separate programs (Elementary, Middle, and High School) that volunteers can select based on their preference. Volunteers are not expected to teach, simply assist with the experiments, and inspire our students to love STEM! *Program dependent.

Summer Camp

• For the first time, we’ll be offering a STEM Summer Camp for kids in 3^rd-8^th grade! While I don’t have specific information on volunteering just yet, we’ll have opportunities available from 8:30am-2:30am, Monday through Friday starting in mid-July and ending mid-August. Our Elementary Camp will go over a wide variety of STEM disciplines, while our Middle School Camp will cover AI, coding, and programming!

CAP Mentorship Program

• Don’t have time to volunteer in-person? No problem, become a mentor for our virtual Mentorship Program! Our Career Advancement Program will match rising high school juniors with STEM professionals in a field of their choosing, to help guide them on a 16-month mentorship. Each month has only a 1-hour commitment and a different pre-determined theme, so you’ll always know what to discuss! Mentors must be at least 25 years old.

All volunteers are welcome regardless of their background. Anyone with a love for STEM and a passion for inspiring students will be a great fit!
